General
What is Weyvox?
Weyvox is a messenger with a built-in AI agent. Messaging and audio calls between Weyvox users are free, and the AI agent can answer questions, make calls on your behalf, carry out tasks in the background, and write short notes after calls.
What is free and what is paid?
Free: all messages (text, photos, video, files, voice, location) and audio calls between Weyvox users, plus the first 5 GB of storage. Paid (charged from your balance): calls to regular phone numbers, the AI agent (chat, calls, tasks), storage above 5 GB, and purchasing and the monthly upkeep of a real phone number. You only pay for the extra features, and only when you use them.
Which devices does Weyvox work on?
Weyvox is currently an app for iPhone (iOS). Messages and calls work between Weyvox users on supported devices.
Registration & account
How do I sign up?
Enter your phone number — you will receive an SMS with a confirmation code. After entering the code, fill in your profile: first name, last name, date of birth, gender (photo optional) — and the app is ready to use.
Why do you need my phone number to register?
Your number confirms the account is genuine, and it is how your contacts find you on Weyvox. Confirmation is done with a one-time code sent by SMS.
The SMS code isn't arriving. What should I do?
Check that the number is entered correctly (with the country code) and that you have signal. Wait a few seconds and tap “Resend code”. If you have made too many attempts, the service may ask you to try again later or the next day — in that case wait and try again, or contact support.
How do I change my name, photo, or date of birth?
In your profile settings (Personal information) you can change your first name, last name, date of birth, gender, and profile photo, then save. The date of birth cannot be in the future.
How do I sign out?
In account settings, tap “Sign out”. The session ends only on this device; your data and chats stay on the server, so after signing back in everything will still be there.
How do I delete my account?
In account settings choose “Delete account”. We delete your data and media, release your real phone numbers with the carrier, and cancel the number subscription. This action cannot be undone.
What happens to my chats if I delete my account?
Shared chats remain with the people you talked to — their history and your messages in those chats do not disappear, but your access to them is lost. Your personal “to self” chats (Saved messages, system chats) are fully deleted. If you register again later, it will be a new account without access to the old chats.
Phone numbers
What is the difference between a personal number and a real (operator) number, and why would I need the operator one?
Your personal number is your own number, verified by SMS code; it is how other Weyvox users find you, and messaging and calls between you are free. A real (operator) number is a separate number you buy in the app to call regular (non-Weyvox) phones and receive incoming calls from them. A real number has a one-time connection fee and a monthly fee charged from your balance; you do not need it for messaging and calls inside Weyvox.
How do I buy a real phone number?
In settings, open the number-purchase section, choose a country and a number from the list. For some numbers the carrier requires identity documents — you upload them right there. The fee (connection plus the first month of service) is then charged from your balance, and the number is sent for activation with the carrier — which is not always instant. After that, a monthly service fee is charged for the number.
Why are documents requested when buying a number?
Some numbers require identity verification under the carrier's rules — these are regulatory (KYC) requirements. During the purchase the app shows exactly which documents or details are needed, and you upload them there. Such a number cannot be issued without them, but many numbers require no documents.
What is a number subscription?
A real number requires a monthly service fee — this is the subscription, charged automatically from your balance once a month. If there are not enough funds, the number is suspended and stops working; you have 20 days to top up your balance, otherwise the number is removed.
Messaging
What can I send in chats?
Text, photos, video, files, voice messages, and location. Several photos or videos can be sent as a single album message. Exchanging all types of messages between Weyvox users is free.
Can I reply to a specific message, forward, or react?
Yes. You can reply with a quote to a specific message, forward it to another chat, and add an emoji reaction. You can also edit and delete your own messages.
What are “Saved messages”?
This is your personal “to self” notepad chat: handy for saving a link, photo, file, or thought. Open it in Settings → Account → Saved messages.
How do I block or unblock a contact?
Open the contact's profile and tap “Block” (or “Unblock” if already blocked). The list of everyone you've blocked is in Settings → Account → Blocked numbers, where you can also unblock.
How do I set up notifications?
General settings are in Settings → Notifications: there you turn on messenger notifications, sound, and preview style (full text / name only / no preview). To mute a specific chat, open the contact's profile (or the chat info) and tap the “Notifications” button to choose how long to mute it.
Can I set my own chat wallpaper?
Yes. In chat settings (Chat wallpaper) you can choose a ready image from the built-in library or upload your own photo. Custom wallpapers are kept in your storage.
Calls
Are calls between Weyvox users paid?
No, they are free. Audio calls between Weyvox users go over the internet rather than through a phone carrier, so no charge applies — neither to the caller nor to the person answering.
How do I call a regular number (not on Weyvox)?
To call regular phones you need a real (operator) number, which you can buy in settings. Such calls are paid: the amount is charged from your balance after the call ends, once its exact cost is known.
How much does a call to a regular number cost?
Calls to regular numbers are billed by the minute at the rate for the destination you are calling. The exact amount is calculated after the call ends, so it is not known in advance. See current prices by destination in Settings → Tariffs → Operator call.
A call to a regular number isn't going through. Why?
Check a few things: that your real number is active, that you have enough balance, and that the number is entered correctly (with the country code, in +… format). Some destinations may also be unavailable under the carrier's rules.
What is an AI call note?
It is a short summary of your conversation (2–4 sentences) that the system prepares automatically after the call, based on a recording. This feature is paid, because it includes transcribing the conversation to text and processing it with AI. You can specify what the note should contain, or turn the feature off entirely in settings.
Can I see my call history and missed calls?
Yes. Calls appear in your history and in the relevant chats: you can see outgoing, incoming, completed, and missed (unanswered) calls. For calls to regular numbers their cost appears next to them once the call has been rated.
The Weyvox AI agent
What can the Weyvox AI agent do?
The agent chats with you and understands your conversations, can call the numbers you need and get things done, carry out multi-step tasks in the background, remember what matters about you, and write a short note after a call. When needed, it looks up information on the internet.
How do I start a chat with the agent?
Open the Weyvox chat tab (the agent) and simply type or dictate a request — the agent replies. In addition, an ordinary one-to-one chat with a person has a separate button to call the agent to ask about that specific conversation. This button works if agent access to chats is enabled in the agent's settings.
Can the agent call on my behalf?
Yes. You give a task (for example “call and find out…”), the agent calls itself, then returns the result and a short note. If the number belongs to another Weyvox user, the call goes through the app; to call a regular (non-Weyvox) number, you need your real number. This is a paid feature, charged from your balance as an agent call.
What are “Agent tasks”?
These are multi-step assignments the agent carries out on its own in the background (for example gathering information or handling something over several steps). You see progress and the result on the “Agent tasks” page, and a notification arrives when a task finishes or needs your answer. Complex tasks are charged by actual usage.
What does the agent remember about me, and how do I clear it?
The agent can remember important facts about you so it can help more usefully and not ask again each time. You can review and manage this memory on the agent memory page, where a full clear is also available. Each user's memory is isolated and used only for your requests.
Does the agent have internet access?
Yes. When needed, the agent searches and opens information on the internet to answer more accurately and up to date. Each such search counts toward the cost of using the agent.
Can I change the agent's voice or “brain”?
Yes. In the agent's settings you can choose the voice it speaks with on calls and its “brain” (the model, which determines its capabilities and the price per usage). A more powerful “brain” answers better but costs more for the same amount of work.
How much does using the agent cost?
You pay only by actual usage (amount of text processing, calls, internet searches), charged from your balance. You can see the exact cost of actions and models in Settings → Tariffs → AI agent. If you don't use the agent, nothing is charged.
Balance & payments
How do I top up my balance?
Open Settings → Top up balance and choose an amount — payment goes through the App Store (Apple). Balance is only spent on paid actions: calls to regular numbers, the AI agent, and storage above the free allowance.
Where can I see what my money is spent on?
Open Settings → Balance & usage. It shows your current balance and a daily spending history, and for the most recent days you can expand a detailed breakdown of each operation.
Where can I see the prices (tariffs)?
Open Settings → Tariffs. Prices are grouped by feature: operator call, AI agent, AI note, memory, and storage. There are no third-party service names there — all prices are our own.
What happens if my balance reaches zero or goes negative?
Free features — chats and calls between Weyvox users — keep working as before. Paid actions (calls to regular numbers, the AI agent, etc.) become unavailable until you top up your balance.
Can I get a refund from my balance?
Since top-ups go through Apple, refunds are governed by App Store rules. Funds already spent on services (calls, the agent, storage) are non-refundable.
Data & storage
How much free storage is there, and what happens beyond it?
The first 5 GB of storage is free. Above that, we charge €0.10 per full gigabyte per month; partial gigabytes are not charged. For example, if you use 4.8 GB above the free 5 GB, you are charged for only 4 GB (€0.40).
What exactly uses my storage, and why doesn't text count?
Only real media files on our servers are counted: photos, video, audio, and other files from chats, plus your own (custom) chat wallpapers. Message text, links, and data that live only on your phone take up a negligible amount of space, so they are not counted or charged — you pay only for what actually loads our servers.
How do I see what is taking up space and free it up?
Open Settings → Account → Data & storage. Space is broken down by category (Photos, Video, Audio, Files, Wallpapers), and each has a delete button to free up space.
If I delete media from a shared chat, will it disappear for the other person too?
No. The file disappears for you (in all your chats), but it stays with the other person, and we do not touch their chat. In effect ownership of the file simply passes to them — it now counts toward their storage, not yours.
What happens to a file when I delete it?
If the file is still held by someone else in the chat, it stays (that participant now “owns” it) and stops taking up your space. If the file is no longer needed by anyone (everyone has deleted it), it is permanently erased from our servers the following night.
Will the storage counter drop immediately after I delete something?
Yes. As soon as you delete media it stops counting toward your total, and the “Data & storage” page shows the reduced figures right away.
Can I recover deleted data?
No. Deleting media from your storage cannot be undone. Before deleting, make sure you no longer need those files.
Are media and wallpapers cached on the phone?
Yes, for fast display media are cached directly on the device. But that is only a local copy — for storage we count the original on the server, not the cache on the phone.
