Before you delete
Cancel a subscription that still renews first. While a subscription renews — in the App Store, in Google Play or bought on our website — the app does not let you delete the account. Cancel it first: on Weyvox's subscription screen; in the App Store on iPhone (Settings → your name → Subscriptions); in Google Play on Android (Google Play → Payments & subscriptions); or, for a subscription bought on weyvox.com, in your account on weyvox.com. Then delete the account. The month you have already paid for is not refunded.
Any credits you have left — plan credits and the extra credits you bought — are lost when the account is deleted, even if the month is not over.
- Use your credits first: they are not paid out.
- Save what you want to keep: documents, created media, invoices you issued, and the invoices for your payments on weyvox.com (download them from your account on weyvox.com; Stripe has also emailed them to you). Everything in the account is erased.
- Posts already published stay on the social networks. If you want a post gone, delete it first, in Weyvox or in the network itself. Deleting the account cancels posts that are only scheduled.
- Your phone numbers are released at once, and you may not be able to get them back.
- If you have a team, all your team members lose access, and their sub-accounts are deleted with yours.
The fastest way: in the app
Open Settings → Account → Delete account, read the warning, type DELETE and confirm. Deletion starts at once, and you do not need to write to anyone.
This erases both your account on our servers and what the app kept on your phone: the local copies of your chats, records and settings, and cached files.
If you did not finish registration
Registration is complete once you subscribe to a plan. Until then, signing in again takes you back to the stage where you stopped. An account whose registration was not completed is deleted automatically 10 days after its phone number was confirmed, with exactly the same deletion as in the app. If you want it gone sooner, delete it in the app as described above.
Without the app: by email
If you no longer have the app or the phone, write to support@weyvox.com from any email address. Include the phone number the account is registered to, in international format (for example +33639981234). An account is identified by its phone number, and without it we cannot find the account.
We never delete an account on an email alone. First we check that the request comes from the account's owner, with a one-time code sent by SMS to the account's number or a confirmation call. If you no longer have that number, say so in your email, and we will agree another way to confirm that the account is yours. A request that fails this check is not acted on.
Once confirmed, we run exactly the same deletion as the app. We answer within one month at the latest, as the GDPR requires, and in practice much sooner.
What is deleted
- your profile: name, date of birth, photo, settings, PIN;
- your chats with the agents, including the server copy;
- the agents' memory, background work, goals, and the copy of your contacts;
- your media library: photos, videos, audio and files you gave the agents or they created, with their descriptions and analysis;
- your line: call history, call notes and transcripts, SMS to customers, settings for each number;
- your business records: profile and price list, customers, orders, documents (including those in Deleted), templates and forms;
- your social media data in Weyvox: connected accounts, posts, posting plan and statistics;
- your team: team member sub-accounts and their access codes;
- your phone numbers, and any identity documents still held for a number application;
- your credits and usage records.
Deletion is permanent. There is no grace period and no way to restore the account.
What happens outside Weyvox
- Phone numbers are released at the telephone operator.
- Social media: your scheduled posts are cancelled, and every account is disconnected at our publishing intermediary. Anything already published stays on the network. You can also remove Weyvox's access in each network's own settings.
- Google Calendar: our access is revoked at Google.
- Your mailbox: the connection and the app password are erased at once, so Weyvox can no longer sign in. You can also delete the app password in your Google account.
- AI providers: any creation or video editing still running is stopped, and the copies our providers still hold are deleted. A copy that cannot be reached at that moment stays in a deletion queue that is no longer linked to your account, and is retried until it is gone.
- Your subscription: if one is still renewing when the account is deleted, a Google Play subscription stops renewing and a weyvox.com subscription is cancelled; an App Store subscription is not touched, so cancel it in the App Store (see above). Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases as the sellers.
- Payments on weyvox.com: our customer record at Stripe, our payment provider, is deleted together with any card saved there (the auto top-up card included). The invoices themselves stay with Stripe as accounting records.
What we keep, and for how long
| What | Why and how long |
|---|---|
| The record of your subscription (App Store, Google Play or weyvox.com: plan, store or Stripe identifiers, periods), without your name or number | So that the same purchase cannot be credited to another account |
| Invoices for your payments on weyvox.com, kept by Stripe | Accounting records, kept for 10 years as French law requires |
| Financial totals for our own accounts (amounts paid and spent, what it cost us), under a random identifier no longer linked to your name or number | For our business accounts |
| Abuse reports received by email, and their evidence | As long as the case needs it. Cases involving illegal content are kept longer, as evidence and for reporting to the authorities |
| Technical logs | Short rotation periods used for operations and security |
| Security logs (sign-ins and account security events) | 12 months |
| Backups | Overwritten in the normal backup cycle |
The full retention table is in section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
Deleting only some of your data
You do not have to delete the whole account to have data erased. Under the GDPR you keep the right to:
- have particular data erased (Art. 17);
- correct data (Art. 16);
- restrict processing (Art. 18);
- object to processing (Art. 21);
- receive a copy of your data (Art. 20).
Much of it you can do yourself in the app:
- delete a chat or message;
- delete memory entries or wipe the memory on Leo's page;
- delete documents, media, customers, orders or posts;
- switch on "Do not let the agent read this" for a document, which erases its text extract;
- disconnect a social media account, your mailbox or your calendar;
- withdraw the contacts permission in your phone's settings, which deletes the copy of your contacts.
For anything else, write to support@weyvox.com, include the account's phone number and tell us what you want erased, corrected or restricted. We answer within one month.
If you are a team member
A team member deletes their own sub-account, without affecting the business, with Settings → Account → Delete account. If the administrator deletes you from the team, your code stops working at once and your sub-account is deleted at once. Your name stays on the order history entries you made, as part of the business's records.
Not a Weyvox user?
If you have no account and simply want your number kept away from Weyvox (no calls, no SMS from the agents, no registration), you do not need this page. Block your number at weyvox.com/optout/. It takes effect at once, after you confirm the number by SMS or phone call. If the number has an account, delete the account first, then block the number.
