Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Weyvox application and related services. By creating an account or using Weyvox, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use the app. Weyvox is an app for iPhone and Android that includes a personal AI voice agent, calls between users, calls to real phone numbers, and messaging. Where you use Weyvox as a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory rights under French and EU consumer law.

2. Eligibility and acceptance
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Weyvox. This age limit reflects the nature of the service: a prepaid, paid telephony service and an autonomous AI agent that places real phone calls, built on third-party AI technology whose provider policies require adult users. Your date of birth is collected at registration; we may refuse to open, or may close, accounts of persons under 18. By using Weyvox you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. The service
Weyvox provides: a personal AI agent that can place and answer phone calls and complete tasks on your behalf; Business management, a lightweight CRM the AI agent works from (customer records, orders, a price list and storage for business documents); free high-definition calls and messaging between Weyvox users; the ability to obtain a real phone number and call regular phone numbers; and automatic AI call notes. Messaging and calls between Weyvox users and the first 5 GB of media storage are free; business documents count towards the same storage allowance; the AI agent, calls to regular numbers, extra storage and real phone numbers are paid features billed from your prepaid balance at the rates shown in the app (Settings → Account → Tariffs) and on weyvox.com/pricing. Features may evolve, be added, or be removed over time.
4. Your account, your device and your encryption keys
You register with your phone number and are responsible for your account and for activity that takes place through it. Keep your device and account secure and notify us of any unauthorised use. One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise.
One active device. A Weyvox account is active on one phone at a time. Signing in on a new phone shows a transfer guide; completing the transfer (or choosing to continue without it) makes the new phone the account's device and signs the old one out.
Your encryption keys exist only on your phone. Personal chats are end-to-end encrypted, and the keys are generated and stored solely on your device — we never receive them and cannot recover them (see the Privacy Policy, section 10). When you change phones, the app transfers the keys directly between the two devices with a QR-code handshake (Settings → Account → Move to a new device).
5. Balance, payments and refunds
Paid features are financed by a prepaid balance that you top up inside the app. Top-ups are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase; Apple acts as the merchant for these purchases, processes your payment under its own terms, and we never receive your payment-card details.
What the balance is. Your balance is a prepayment that can be used exclusively to pay for the paid features of Weyvox. It:
- has no cash value and is not electronic money;
- cannot be withdrawn, paid out, exchanged for cash, or transferred to another account or person;
- does not expire while your account exists, and carries no interest.
No refunds of top-ups. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we do not refund top-ups: money added to your balance is intended to be spent on the app's paid features, and amounts already spent on services (calls, the AI agent, notes, storage, phone numbers) are non-refundable. Because top-ups are sold through Apple In-App Purchase, any refund request concerning a top-up purchase is submitted to and decided exclusively by Apple under the App Store terms; where Apple refunds a purchase, we may deduct the corresponding amount from your balance or suspend paid features until the difference is settled. Nothing in this section deprives you of rights that mandatory French or EU consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
Closing your account. If you delete your account, any remaining balance is forfeited and is not paid out — use your balance before deleting your account. The app warns you before deletion; deletion is irreversible.
Charges rated after use. Some charges (for example a call to a regular number) can only be calculated after the service completes. Such charges are applied when known and may take your balance below zero; the negative amount is settled from your next top-up, and paid features may remain unavailable until it is settled.
Prices. The prices in force are always shown in the app (Settings → Account → Tariffs) before and while you use a paid feature; usage is billed at the rates in force at the time of use. We may change prices for the future; significant changes are reflected in the app and on the pricing page before they apply to you.
6. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
As an EU consumer you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts (art. L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). When you buy a top-up, you expressly request that the corresponding digital service be available immediately and you acknowledge that, once you start consuming the balance (for example by making a chargeable call or having the agent act), you lose the right of withdrawal for the part of the service already supplied. For the purchase transaction itself, withdrawal and refund requests are handled by Apple as the seller of record, under the App Store's EU consumer terms.
7. Real phone numbers
- One number per account. Each Weyvox account may hold one operator (real) phone number at a time. While your number application is being processed, a temporary number may be offered so you can call sooner; it is replaced by your final number.
- What you pay. When you buy a number, two amounts are charged from your balance: a one-time connection fee and the first month of service. By submitting the application you expressly request that we begin performing immediately — reserving the number and submitting your registration to the carrier.
- Identity verification (KYC). Some numbers can only be registered with identity documents and details, because telecom regulations and our carrier require it. You must provide accurate, current documents; the carrier and the local regulator decide whether the number can be registered. How these documents are stored and automatically deleted is described in the Privacy Policy.
- If the carrier rejects your application. A rejection does not end your application: you may correct the details or documents and resubmit as many times as needed, at no additional charge — the amounts you have already paid remain applied to the application until the number is registered.
- If you cancel the application. If you cancel a number application yourself, at any stage and for any reason, the amounts paid for that application are forfeited and not refunded, to the extent permitted by law: the connection fee corresponds to the reservation and registration work already performed at your express request, and you acknowledge this when you cancel. This does not affect rights that mandatory consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
- When the subscription starts. The subscription starts on the day you pay for the number: that payment already includes the first month of service, and the 30-day clock runs from it. Until the number is confirmed by the carrier the subscription stays inactive — nothing is charged and no next-payment date is shown. Once the number is confirmed, the subscription becomes active and billing continues on that same 30-day cycle.
- Monthly service fee. After activation, the monthly fee is charged automatically from your balance. If your balance cannot cover it, the number is suspended and you have 25 days to top up; after that the number is released to the carrier and may not be recoverable.
- Nature of the number. A phone number is a service allocated to you, not property you own. It is provided subject to availability and to the terms of our telephony carrier and the competent regulators, and may be reclaimed where a carrier or regulator requires it, or in the event of unlawful use or persistent non-payment.
- Account deletion releases your numbers with the carrier immediately.
8. The AI agent
The AI agent is an automated system. In line with Article 50 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), it always identifies itself as an AI assistant acting for you at the start of every call — outbound, auto-answered, or when it takes over a live call; this disclosure is built in and cannot be switched off. You are responsible for the tasks you instruct it to perform and for their consequences. The agent may make mistakes or misunderstand instructions; verify anything important (a booking, a commitment, a deadline). Outcomes also depend on third parties — for example, a restaurant may still cancel a booking the agent made — and we do not guarantee any particular outcome of a task. Do not use the agent to deceive, harass, defraud, or to place calls that are unlawful where you or the recipient are located.
Third-party AI technology. The agent is not a human and is not supervised by one. It is an artificial-intelligence system built on language models and speech technology supplied by third-party AI providers, and everything it says or writes is machine-generated output of those systems. The capabilities, limitations and behaviour of the underlying models are determined by those providers and are governed by their own terms and acceptable-use policies, which also apply to your use of the agent through Weyvox. We do not train these models, do not control their internal workings, and cannot guarantee that a given output is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose.
Identical configuration for everyone; you alone direct the agent. Weyvox operates the agent with the same underlying configuration, instructions and safety settings for every user — we do not tailor its behaviour to individual users beyond the options you yourself see and change in the app (voice, language, effort level, per-contact toggles). We take no part in choosing the tasks you give the agent, do not review them, and are not a party to anything the agent arranges on your behalf. You instruct the agent unilaterally, and its acts on your instructions are attributed to you as if you had performed them yourself; you bear sole responsibility for the use of your agent and for verifying its results before relying on them.
Documents the agent writes. On your request the agent produces documents — an invoice, a statement of completed work, a certificate, a letter, a report, or a free-form document — as a PDF generated on your device. These are drafts you commission: they are machine-generated output built from what you told the agent and from the details you saved in your PDF templates, and they are not legal, tax or accounting advice and are not checked by us for accuracy or for compliance with the invoicing, tax or formal requirements of any country. Weyvox does not issue, sign, send or certify any document, and we hold no copy of it. Before you use or send a document, you must check it — the amounts, the dates, the details of both parties and any mandatory particulars your jurisdiction requires. A document you send is yours, exactly as if you had written it. You are also responsible for the content of your templates: enter only your own details there, and only data you are entitled to provide.
Agent voice and voice cloning. You choose the voice your agent speaks with — a ready-made voice, or a clone of your own voice. You may clone only your own voice; you must not clone or imitate anyone else's voice or use the feature to impersonate any person. The agent's spoken AI disclosure above applies equally when it uses a cloned voice, so the other party is always informed they are speaking with an AI. You can delete a cloned voice at any time in Settings; how the voice data is processed is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Calls, acceptable use
You agree to use Weyvox lawfully and not to:
- make unsolicited bulk, automated, or nuisance calls or messages (spam), or violate telemarketing or "do-not-call" rules;
- harass, threaten, defraud, or infringe the rights of others;
- use the service for any illegal purpose or in breach of applicable telecommunications law;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
Zero tolerance for illegal content. Child sexual abuse material, terrorism or incitement to mass violence, and human trafficking result in the immediate and indefinite suspension of your account on the first confirmed occurrence, without warning and without any right to a refund of your remaining balance. Evidence is preserved and the matter may be referred to the competent authorities.
Reporting, review and sanctions. Any user can report a specific message or an account from inside the app. Because chats are end-to-end encrypted, the evidence for a report on a message is decrypted and submitted by the reporter's own device — the review sees only that material, never the rest of the conversation. Reports are triaged automatically, with human review for uncertain or severe cases; sanctions escalate from warnings to temporary blocks and, ultimately, to deletion of the account. The full catalogue of violations, the escalation ladder, what a review can and cannot see, and how to appeal a decision are published at weyvox.com/rules and form part of these Terms.
10. Call recording
When you enable AI notes, a call may be recorded and transcribed to produce a summary. Recording calls is regulated in many places. You are responsible for ensuring you have any consent or right required to record a given call. Where notes are enabled on a call to a phone number, Weyvox plays an audible notice to the other party. The recording and transcript lifecycles (deleted right after processing) are described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Availability, changes and suspension
We aim to keep Weyvox available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; the service depends in part on third parties (carriers, Apple, and the categories of providers listed in our Privacy Policy). We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or the law, or to protect the service or other users; where reasonable, we will notify you and give you the chance to remedy the breach. You may stop using Weyvox and delete your account at any time in the app.
No recoverable backup of encrypted chats. We store your end-to-end-encrypted messages as ciphertext for delivery and synchronisation, but we deliberately hold no key and therefore cannot provide any backup or export of their readable content. Section 4 describes the consequence for a lost or unavailable device.
12. Legal guarantee of conformity
If you are a consumer, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and digital services provided by the French Consumer Code (art. L224-25-12 et seq.): the service must conform to its description and function as agreed for the duration of its supply. If it does not, you may demand that it be brought into conformity and, failing that, a price reduction or termination, under the conditions set by law. These Terms never reduce that guarantee.
13. Intellectual property
Weyvox, its software, design, and content are owned by the publisher or its licensors and are protected by law. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You keep ownership of the content you create and grant us only the rights needed to operate the service (for example to transmit and store the encrypted form of your messages and to run the AI agent for you).
14. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties. We are not responsible for third-party networks or for the outcome of tasks you instruct the AI agent to perform.
Third-party providers. Weyvox is built on networks, infrastructure and technology operated by independent third parties — among others telecommunications carriers, AI-model and speech-technology providers, hosting and storage infrastructure, and Apple's payment and distribution systems. We choose these providers with care, but we do not control them. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for their outages, network quality, routing decisions, regulatory decisions, changes to or discontinuation of their services, refusals to register a phone number, or for the content of machine-generated AI output — and a provider's failure does not constitute our breach of these Terms where we could not reasonably have prevented it. If a provider materially changes or withdraws a capability we depend on, we may modify or withdraw the corresponding Weyvox feature (section 11).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where that would be unlawful under French law — in particular liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or gross negligence, or for your mandatory rights as a consumer (including the legal guarantee of conformity). Subject to that, our liability is limited to foreseeable damage arising directly from our failure to meet these Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your EU country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.
Legal framework we operate under. Weyvox is operated from France and is designed to comply with the European and French rules applicable to it, in particular: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi « Informatique et Libertés ») for personal data; Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act), including the Article 50 transparency duties for AI systems that interact with people; Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights and Directive (EU) 2019/770 on digital content and digital services, as transposed into the French Consumer Code; Directive 2000/31/EC on electronic commerce, as transposed by the French LCEN (loi n° 2004-575); and Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy) for the confidentiality of communications. How we process personal data under these rules is described in the Privacy Policy.
Amicable resolution and mediation. Please contact us first at support@weyvox.com so we can try to resolve any issue. As a consumer, after contacting us you may refer the dispute free of charge to a consumer mediator (médiateur de la consommation, arts. L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app or by other appropriate means before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account.
